I have one goal for this blog, and that’s to help educate people about the healing powers of cannabis. This plant has been under fire for decades thanks to the war on drugs. Whether you’re a cannabis user or not, you need to be. I’m just kidding! What I really mean is, whether you’re a marijuana user or not, you need to be educated on the pros and cons of responsible cannabis usage.
A Little About Me
I go by the nickname, CannaGirl, because I love cannabis. It has been a huge part of my life since finding it at the ripe age of 21. I don’t condone underage cannabis usage, but the reality is that people from all walks of life could benefit from it’s medicinal effects. It’s a tough subject. Should a 16 year old suffering from chronic pain be denied the right to use weed?
One could argue that 16 is too young to ingest smoke. That argument is easily countered with vaping or cannabis infused edibles. The harder argument to rebut is the one about brain development. Do you know the effect cannabis has on a young and developing brain? Me either. And for that reason, I don’t condone the usage of cannabis for minors. There are too many unknowns for me, a layperson, to support such a controversial subject. It’s always better to be safe than sorry. And that’s something you’ll learn about me. My personality is to play it safe.
Safe and marijuana are two words that you don’t see in the same sentence too often. But the truth of the matter is that they belong together. When using any drug, you need to be extra careful. It’s especially important to be careful on where you buy your weed from. Not all dispensaries are created equal. It’s best to buy weed from a dispensary that tests their bud for pesticides and heavy metals. The last thing you’d want is for your healing flower to be contaminated with things that could make you sick.
